Be the first to hear about our customer offers, events and webinars
With less than three weeks to go until Oracle AI World in Las Vegas, it’s time to start planning what I’ll attend and what I’m most looking forward to.
I think Oracle left it quite late to add dates and times to the session guide. With more than 700 sessions, it’s very difficult to choose the ones you really want to see when you don’t know when they are taking place, but the details are there now. I haven’t seen the mobile app yet, although I expect it any day. In the meantime, you can always use the unofficial app created by Connor McDonald from the Ask TOM team.
Obviously, I want to hear the keynotes, although I’ll probably only get to one or two live and will have to catch up with the rest online. There simply isn’t enough time, so make sure you plan around the keynotes for the areas that interest you most. For me, that means the main keynote, Where AI Means Business, at 9.30 (KEY1037); Chris Leone’s session at 11.30 (SPT2659); and Nancy Estell Zoder’s HCM Strategy and Roadmap session at 3.15 (LRN1480), all on Monday.
For me customer stories are key and if there are any sessions that I can get to that they'll be high on my list. Understanding how customers are using the systems and particularly how customers are using AI. That connects with my ‘my mind the gap theory’ around the use cases from development coming to life when customers recognize the challenges that they can use this for and I really want to see some of those stories.
I have a small speaking slot where actually I'm just going on stage with MasterCard to talk about the benefits of virtual payments in Oracle payables (THR2223) at 1.30 in the Exhibition Theatre Hub on Monday. Inoapps was the first customer of Oracle to use this functionality in Fusion. I do love the fact that Inoapps are users as well as implementers.
Over the past few years, Inoapps has hosted a number of roundtables around AI World. The sessions for E-Business Suite organisations, which do not have dedicated content at the event, have been particularly popular. Understanding EBS Strategy is back for a third year, giving you the opportunity to ask Oracle Development any question you like. Lisa Parekh, who now leads EBS, will answer your questions; this year, I expect many of them will focus on the technology refresh. Our great friend Mia Urman from AuraPlayer will also join us, so there will be plenty of expertise in the room. The session takes place on Tuesday from 8.30 to 10.00.
For the last year or two I have been talking about AI for EBS, and in the summer I wrote about how partners are stepping in with solutions to help not just EBS but the wider Apps Unlimited communities with Ai. A few weeks ago, Inoapps launched iASK for JDE and EBS is next. If you are interested in seeing this, we have a round table on to answer all your questions. This approach to AI is deterministic, i.e. it will work out the answer the same way each time, and it shows you how it does it. It makes me think about Math exams when we got extra marks for showing our working out. It is also affordable with a fixed price. Wednesday 8.30 – 10.00. If you can’t make the roundtable but want to see it, pop into anytime Monday through Wednesday, have a coffee on us and one of my colleagues will show you iASK.
As well as sharing the stage with Mastercard on Monday, we have a round table with them where you can further explore how Virtual Payments can help you turn your Payables Cost Centre into a revenue helper. This is suitable for both Fusion and Apps Unlimited organizers. Tuesday 11.00 -12.30
If you're interested in any of these round tables which all take place in Chica at the Venetian., register here, or just come along.
As well as our round tables we'll be hosting many customers both during the day and at our reception on Tuesday evening if there's anything that you'd like to talk about or just catch up then let me know I really look forward to these conversations and hope that I can add to your learning for the week.
As ever my dance card at Oracle AI World it's pretty full but we can give up on sleep and make it up later. My own learning starts Sunday with Partner and Development workshops, and meetings throughout the conference. As an ACE Director I will be doing my duty on their stand and meeting up with the community for a dinner and an adventure on Thursday. I will join EBS customers at Mia’s dinner Monday and have a couple of analyst meetings to share my thoughts as the week progresses. As a board member for ODTUG I will also have that hat on.
After AIW I will blog again on my key takeaways.
