On-demand Oracle expertise to keep business systems running smoothly
“Inoapps connects technical and functional needs, understands our business, is available when needed, and delivers effective solutions for end users.”
John Taberner, Head of Financial Systems
Go‑Ahead Group is a leading international public transport leader. Their portfolio spans bus and rail networks across Great Britain, as well as operations in Ireland, Australia, Singapore, Norway and Sweden. With multiple operating companies across the group, their financial systems team supports the wider business by enabling consistent processes and timely delivery of system improvements across their organization.
Following its migration from Oracle E-Business Suite to Oracle Cloud ERP and EPM, Go-Ahead faced a backlog of post-go-live fixes and enhancement requests. With a small internal team and a need to move quickly, the business required additional Oracle expertise to help deliver priority improvements while maintaining momentum.
The initial requirement focused on the development of ten Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reports. The success of this engagement highlighted the value of having trusted Oracle specialists available on demand to support evolving business needs.
Inoapps recommended Managed Services Flex Credits, giving Go-Ahead rapid access to experienced Oracle consultants without the need for lengthy procurement processes. The initial OTBI reporting project quickly expanded into an ongoing Managed Services partnership.
Today, Inoapps works alongside Go-Ahead's internal team, providing Oracle ERP and EPM support, resolving post-implementation issues, developing reports and delivering enhancements as new requirements emerge.
One example is a modernized supplier onboarding process that enables suppliers to self-register and submit qualification information during onboarding. This has improved visibility and auditability, reduced manual effort and streamlined the process across multiple Go-Ahead entities.
With access to responsive Oracle expertise when needed, Go-Ahead can address issues, deliver enhancements and respond to changing priorities more efficiently. The Flex Credits model provides access to the right skills at the right time, helping internal teams maintain momentum without increasing permanent resource requirements.
Continuous improvements have increased user adoption across the group and enabled internal teams to focus on strategic initiatives rather than day-to-day firefighting. The supplier onboarding enhancement has delivered reduced manual effort together with improved visibility and auditability, supporting more efficient operations across the business.
What began as a project to address post-go-live priorities has developed into a long-term partnership that continues to support and enhance Go-Ahead's Oracle environment.
