AI focus and an impressive presence from Oracle

By Debra Lilley
Thought Leader & Advocate at Inoapps

Inoapps was at HR Tech in Las Vegas last month as one of four partners sponsoring the Oracle presence. We were on the Oracle stand—one of the largest on the central walkthrough.

The stand housed not only the four partners, but several demo booths, two meeting areas and a theater. The conference and Oracle’s main focus was on AI, and there was a steady footfall of people interested in learning about it, and how Oracle is delivering it in their applications.

In the theater area, Oracle delivered a stream of sessions on AI in Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM)—one every 30 minutes for the duration of the exhibition. Inoapps spoke at two of those sessions. One focused on Oracle HCM Now, and we talked about the fast implementation project we did with our customer, PortmanDentex.

In the second one, we discussed how our experiences adopting Oracle AI for HR in Inoapps is helping us grow. We also talked about extending parts of the HR ecosystem that aren’t part of an Oracle HCM environment—like payroll or finance—with Oracle’s AI services. This is based on Oracle’s strategy to be an AI facilitator at every level.

Both sessions attracted a full house.

Over the three days, we met and spoke with many organizations that were on their AI learning curve, and we shared examples of how Oracle delivers and facilitates AI as an intrinsic part of their software, rather than having to bolt AI onto systems.

Oracle had two executives in attendance from the HCM strategy team—Nancy Estelle Zoda and Yvette Cameron. It’s always good to catch up with them and get insight into the trends they’re seeing, and to talk to them about what we and our customers are doing.

At a recent event, Zukunft Personal Europe, covered by my colleague Jean Paul in his post, we launched an AI agent designed as a solution for the upcoming EU Pay Directive, which must be adopted by next June. I talked about this in our second session as an example of the type of discussion we are having with our customers. Our feedback from the Oracle executives at HR Tech is that many global and large U.S. companies are looking at the EU Pay Directive as an approach they’re considering adopting. If that sounds like you and you’re interested in how Inoapps can help, please get in touch.

We spent some time talking to other platform providers at the event. Many of our customers have a hybrid solution for HCM—often it will be a payroll or timesheet solution adopted at some point, or legacy software, or something that came with an acquisition. It’s good to keep in touch with those solution providers to help us deliver seamless integrations and processes for our mutual customers.

Also attending HR Tech were a lot of providers offering niche HR services and tools. It’s always useful to know about the latest tools in the market, and equally Inoapps is well positioned to assist such businesses with our Oracle integration services.

We had three interesting days talking to HR professionals, and will be back in Las Vegas in just a few weeks for Oracle AI World. If you’re going, take a look at my blog about what I'm looking forward to and have a look at our roundtable lineup—and hope to see you there!
