A few weeks ago, I attended Ascend, the largest global Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) event of the year. I spoke to a lot of people there, and when I got back I wrote a blog about the questions they were asking about EBS.

One of the things that struck me—not for the first time—is how integral EBS is to so many businesses. People aren’t just sweating the asset. Many have developed a whole EBS ecosystem, making massive investments in customizations that support processes unique to their businesses. And they aren’t using it in antiquated ways. One of our customers has it connected to real-time APEX dashboards on their shop floor walls to showcase outstanding work. Another uses it to interact with their supply chain, replacing their previous point-to-point integration with a modern API-based B2B approach.
