September 2023 sees the 23C release of Inoapps’ Industry Cloud Extensions, industry-focused solutions that extend the capabilities of Oracle Cloud ERP to meet the specific needs of customers in the energy, engineering & construction, higher education, professional services and public sectors.

The very latest releases have been made available to all customers as part of Release 23C, and deliver a range of new features and enhancements, including:

Common Application features (previously called Administration Portfolio)

Enable Job Set feature
Not all businesses operate on the same times and schedules. To ensure customers receive accurate and timely reporting, billing and information, we’ve introduced the ability to create/submit/delete schedules to create custom job sets that respond to business needs. This feature only impacts newly created or edited job sets.

Ability for superuser to reassign approval
The unexpected absence of key employees with approval responsibilities can end up landing you with missed deadlines, late penalties and other repercussions. To help avoid such situations, this update introduces the ability for a superuser to reassign approvals within the Subcontractor Management module.

SCM validation for Withholding Tax Registration and Withholding Tax Group code
To help speed up the submissions process and prevent errors by highlighting issues early, validation has been introduced ensure the alignment between the Withholding Tax Registration and the Withholding Tax Group codes.

When a user attempts to create a submission, the system now verifies if these codes match. If there are any differences, a pop-up window displays a message asking the user to address the issue before proceeding. The user can then either address the issue or choose to proceed as is.

Allowing Applied Amount greater than the purchase order amount
Keeping on top of project expenses is vital for construction companies and subcontractors alike, and sometimes the final expense amount exceeds that of the purchase order (PO). Inoapps Subcontractor Portal now allows you to enter an Applied Amount or Applied % that is greater than the PO line amount.

This update has also been extended to the Subcontractor Portal. The update requires no configuration updates but should be applied in line with your company’s business practices.

Selection of multiple rows and tasks for Additional Revenue and Cost items
On construction projects, there are often elements that are probables, which may affect multiple tasks. Previously, additional items needed to be created repeatedly to apply the probable to all associated tasks. Our latest release includes an enhancement that allows you to add and edit multiple additional item lines for both Additional Revenue and Additional Cost Items. In addition, you can now select and link specific tasks to their Additional Revenue and Cost items.

Invoiced Amount field in Customer and Subcontractor Variations
Keeping on top of accruing costs and invoiced work gives project managers control over fast moving developments. This update introduces a new Invoiced Amount field in the Customer and Subcontractor Variations, which allows you to input values up to two decimals. The new field can be used to provide an accurate snapshot of work in progress and accruing costs.

Ability to report on errors
Timely billing is essential to any business, and if a billing error occurs, you need to be able to spot it  quickly to remediate and prevent delays. With this release, we’ve introduced a report pane on the dashboard that allows you to quickly identify any lines linked to errors so they can be reprocessed.

Timesheet entry limits
Accurate completion of timesheets is core when billing items by daily or hourly use, and many businesses put a cap on hours. With this update, we introduce an optional maximum hourly value per day for customers who need to place restrictions on timesheets.

Orders expiring dashboard tile: items expiring
Asset inventory control is essential to supply chain management and customers with large inventories require additional visibility of equipment that is coming to the end of its lease. With this update, the Orders Expiring Dashboard tile has been expanded to include unallocated lines that are due for expiry, with the actual off hire date and expected off hire date taken into account.
