Making Procurement Easier for Utility Companies
We are delighted to announce that, following a rigorous application process, we are now registered as a supplier on the Achilles UVDB database.
Achilles UVDB (Utilities Vendor Database) helps utility companies manage risk within their supply chain and comply with EU Procurement Legislation.
Our registration as a supplier demonstrates that having completed the industry pre-qualification questionnaire, we have demonstrated our capability to meet the relevant industry and legislative requirements. Being on the database will make procurement easier for our potential customers by allowing them to apply their internal benchmarking standards to our profile – giving them an easier way to assess our suitability as a supplier.
The UVDB Verify audit and assessment is undertaken independently by Achilles and provides a further rigorous assessment of a supplier’s risk, with a particularly strong focus on demonstrable compliance to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) requirements.
Achilles accreditation is required by many Utilities companies and their principal contractors.
Over 30 Utilities and more than 35 of their contracting partners use the UVDB system to qualify their supply chain through a standard assessment of their management systems and site performance.
